Hello all,
I have recently got all of my paperwork and letters of recommendation in to UCLA and am waiting to hear if I was selected or not. I had gotten some great advice from StlRn2b1206 regarding her experience and was wondering if anyone else out there had completed (or applied) for this
program. 06:57 PMIm really excited about this opportunity and hopefully I will be able to participate.

I'm interested to see responses as well - maybe I'll hear from some of my fellow summer '06 externs!
Im so excited about this opportunity but dont want to get my hopes up in case I dont get chosen. Did you get anything in the mail from UCLA in between application and finding out you got the job? The reason why I ask is that I am on vacation and wont be able to check my mail until Jan 13th!:uhoh21:

I have just received news that I was accepted into the program. Have you gotten any news?
Yep! I got it too. Where do you go to school at? Have you gotten any further info yet?:balloons:
Congrats to both of you on your acceptance into the externship!

Anyone have any fabulous advice when applying to UCLA nursing summer externship?
make sure that you do an excellent cover letter that explains any relative work experience and extracurricular activities. When I applied last year, Sheri told me that she pays extra attention to the cover letter so that is what I spent most of my time on and I was accepted. Good luck.

Do you remember what Sheri's last name was? I am doing my cover letter and I don't know who I should make it out to. Thanks!
