I was just wondering what kind of scores everyone got on their pre-NLN exam. I am getting ready to take mine early October and the reference that I have for scores refers to the 1986 results.

I would love to chat with anyone about this...Pasha :)

Specializes in Oncology.

I took the test last year. I go a 99 in math, 95 in reading and 75 in science. I had not been in school for about 12 years so it was pretty hard for me. I got every study guide I could find and studied every night for 2 months!!!:uhoh3:

WOW, you did very good! I have also been review and reviewing. I too have not been in school for some years now. Did you test that well on the study guide exams?

pasha :)

I took it last January and got a 125. My hardest section was in math, which is actually a good subject for me, but it has been a while since I have been out of school (ten years since high school) and seven years since college or any math. So, I studied really hard with the RNPre-Entrance Exam Review Guide and it really helped me. It was very similar to the exam I took. Hope this helps - Angie

THANKS!

As I said I am geting ready to take it in October...yuck...testing..I have that review guide that I am currently working on...

by chance do you remember how you tested in each section?

I don't remember the exact numbers, but reading was low 90s, science high 80s and math low 80s.

Hope this helps.

Thanks that does help!

I took the test last November. I scored a 122. I thought it was one of the hardest tests I have ever taken in my life. Harder than the ACT, IMHO. I got a Pre-RN Study guide and it helped tremendously. I was so glad I brushed up on my math skills before hand. Best of luck to you!

Thanks for your input!

I took it last April and got a 122. I studied the NLN study guide and practiced the math problems. That test was a real bear, but all we had to get was in the 50% range to pass.

That is the score that my CC requires is a 50% and a composite score of 100. I was looking at the example of how to read the tests results, and it was a bit unclear in terms of what exactly you had to score to get 50%. That is why I wondered how everyone did on each (verbal, math, science).

Thank you!
