Nursing Students General Students

Hi All, this is my first post. I am currently enrolled at MWSC in St. Joseph, MO and I have applied to thier nursing program for this coming Spring semester. Unfortunatly, there are so many rumors floating around about how competitive acceptance into the program is. I have heard that you need at least a gpa of 3.4 to even be considered to get in. Today I went to the Nursing Dept. and they said that the min. gpa is 2.5 but they factor that with the other requirements in order to get into the program.

So, since I only have a gpa of 3.0, I am applying to Research College of Nursing in Kansas City. Does anyone have any knowledge of this college? I have an appoitment with them this Friday, I was just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience/knowledge of this college.

I hope that I can get into one of these colleges this spring.

Thank you so much,

Alana Temple

Hi Alana. I am from Missouri, too. I am attending NCMC in Trenton, taking my pre-reqs. At NCMC the competition is VERY stiff to get into the nursing program. Since I have a family, traveling any further to school is not an option. So, I am just praying that I get accepted for Fall '04.
