I am a new graduate and am now starting to look for a job in my community. I currently do not have a resume and when I started to do mine I feel like pulling my hair out.
I wanted to know if there is anyone out there that would share their resumes with me so I can get some ideas. You can delete any personal information or put fake info. like Jane Doe in it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am just so nervous about job hunting and I want to make sure my resume is done correctly. Please can someone help me with this?
Thanks so much

A lot of word processing programs (Word, Works, and Word Perfect) have built in templates for common documents (like resumes)--check them out. They are great starting points! Good luck!

Many of the major nursing journals and the books dealing with nursing careers have sample resumes in them. Have you looked into them at your local nursing library?
I am not a new grad, but someone who reads resumes a lot for possible hire. The key is to communicate your strengths clearly and make it easy for the reader to see who you are and what your experiences have been. Don't get too cutesy or clutter the resume up with a lot of distracting information, clip art, etc.
For a new grad, there is no need to list all the places you had clinical as a student or all the courses you took. However, I would list anything "extra" or "special" that you did that relates to the field in which you are applying for a job. For example, if you did a special senior-year project on a related topic in that field, I would list it.
Good luck,

This semester part of our requirements for graduation includes writing a resume and cover letter. yuck. They told us to use http://www.monster.com to do the resume, and to check out the cover letter samples they have. Maybe that will help you!

In my resume, I listed an objective (that I wanted to work in an ICU), then my education (including GPA), then where and on what type of unit I did my clinical rotations, and lastly I listed other recent non-related jobs and any awards/honors. You can use bolt or italic font and bullets to make it look spiffy. :)
Thanks so much for all of the advice. Hopefully I will get this done and get a job.
