The closest community college to me has a rate of about 75%..and the state average is 84%.

the second closest has a pass rate of 87%..they are about 60 miles from my house.

In your opinion is 75 way to low to be a good school?

what is your schools pass rate?

My School has had a 100% pass rate the last few yrs and that includes both the 4 yr program and the 12 month program. They have the highest pass rate of any school my area minus the hospital schools

My school is in the 90's for pass rate. I commute 80 miles to get there one way. I would DEFINITELY choose the one with the 12 point lead for passing rate. Even if you have a great experience at the first one mentioned - what's the use of that if they don't prepare you well for the board?
I'm of the belief that the school doesn't prepare one to pass, one prepares oneself.

The "book" portion of my program was entirely self-taught with a proctored "all-or-nothing" comprehensive final at the end of each class and we ended up with a 100% pass rate.

Pass rates are much more indicative of the quality of the matriculants than of the quality of the teachers.

Allied school of Nursing is a bunch of bull and I HATE THEIR TEACHING METHODS. Passed all my classes missed exit exam by one point told to study ATI--did that show up date of retest and its the HESI exam while I studied for API and Kaplan like they told me to! when i take NCLEX pretest scores very high -then the dumbest people in class manage to pass the exit with flying colors even though they barely scraped by in class--fishy situations since all of them have friends in high places ---

89% on first try

My school is an 83, but our nursing program is fairly new (2007). We just got a new dean over the summer and she is wonderful!
