My Dilemma

Good Morning everyone~

Currently I have a job that pays really well and I am wrapping up my Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts this December. My intitial intention upon getting my degree, is to go straight into the Accelerated BSN program for one year, (which I was already accepted to begin next summer) Which means that I SHOULD NOT WORK AT ALL = NO DINERO.

My next option is to attend a part-time BSN program which commence in January 2007, but I will not graduate some 2-3yrs later. I need an opinion on what would be the best move to make.

Should I just save and quit work for a year or keep my really cool job that enables me to study and just go part-time.

You don't say whether you like the job. If you do and enjoy your coworkers, it might make sense to stay and go to school part time. Depending on how many hours you work, it might be a welcome distraction from the rigors of nursing school (even part-time nursinig school is difficult). But if you don't like your job and are eager to change, and can afford to get by without it, it might make sense to quit and focus on nursing -- work would be an unwelcome distraction.

Man, this is hard...big decision!

Accelerated programs are VERY intense. But working and going to school part time is intense too. I guess the? is do you want to work sooner or later as a nurse? If you are dying to get into the field, then why no go whole-hog. Sounds like you like your job a lot, so why the career switch in the 1st place?

Take care! ;)

My job is a contract job for 4 yrs. My overall career goal is nursing :nuke:
