Medical bills/career

Hello,

this is my first time posting . I'm pre nursing and I have some unpaid medical bills on my credit .... will this count against me in my future trying to find a RN position ?

Thank you kindly ,

I am not an RN yet, but I highly doubt that unpaid medical bills will affect you finding an RN position.

I really don't think it is funny that I would ask .... if you have bad credit most banks will not hire you .... thank you

It depends on where you go to work.

When I worked with the prisoner population, i had to go through a credit check and had to have good credit in order to get the job.

This is to mitigate the possibility of you being bribed.

Most positions don't care about your credit or your debts though, so you should be alright.

Thank you ! Makes sense to me .

In the past, when I had bad credit, I also had this fear. If a possible employer was going to run a credit check on me, I would just be upfront and explain why I had bad credit. It was never an issue then. BTW - you should check your own credit to see what is on there. Good luck.
