I've been a smoker for fifteen years, and I haven't had a cigarette in 4 days. While I haven't been fun to be around in the past four days, I can't help but be pretty proud of myself.

Anyone else in the process of kicking a bad habit before starting school?!

Good for you, stick with it! Be careful with Chantix, it can cause major mood disturbances. My brother had to get off it because it made him feel so rageful and violent he was afraid he would hurt his family.

You're making the right move. I have to tell you, as a patient, any education or advice given to me by an RN or MD who smells like cigarettes is going to be automatically, 100% dismissed by me. And probably lots of other people.
