Job interview question??

Hi guys. I hope everyone is having a good day. I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. I am trying to find a job at one of the local hospitals in my area so that I can go to nursing school. I had a job interview with a hospital recruitor last week for a unit secretary position. The recruitor called me today to see if I could meet with the OR hiring manager next week. Everyone keeps telling me that I have the job and this is just a meeting to talk about benefits and other position related things. Anyone have an opinion on this? I am hoping "everyone" is right but like to see if anyone else has been through a similiar situation. Thanks in advance.

As I was a nurse manager I was thinking that no one was ever hired for my unit without my meeting and interviewing them as well as the nurse recruiter. I think your friends are doing you an injustice by telling you that you have the job. What you have is an appointment for an interview with the OR manager for a job. The talk about benefits comes after you are hired and it is usually with someone in the human resources office, if not the nurse recruiter herself. I am not trying to make you feel bad, just being realistic. You don't have a job until they make you a job offer.
