    If you dont mind the drive, Polk State is a great school, and you can get in with that GPA. They have a BSN program also. I'm going to pay about $15k for my BSN at Polk, and it has a very good reputation with our area hospitals, unlike ITT. Several students from hillsborough are in my class.

    Thanks! That is a long drive but I may look into it.....

    You can always "challenge" your prereqs through the CLEP or excelsior. I "challenged" my A&P and Mirco and got an A (it counted for 2 As) and a B. Got accepted in the program...graduated last May, passed boards in June, started new grad job this week. They have other classes as well you can boost your grades in. Find out what colleges accept "challenged" coursework. It is worth a try!-and it's cheaper, most of the time.

    you have two days at a daycare center and two days at a doctors office. then four days at a ob hospital. it was not bad it was fun. I have two hours of studying time the kids were asleep it was a good day.

    really i am a grad from Itt tech and work in a hospital and so do most of my friends. two of my friends work a tampa general hospital.

    Hospitals know these things, and no, no reputable hospital would hire a grad from an unaccredited school with a poor reputation. Skip it, for sure. It's not worth the money, I promise.
    really i work in a hospital and i went to Itt tech. most of my friends work at Kindred and two of my friends work at tampa general .

    check again. we go more clinical hours that most schools and we worked harder than other school.

I also heard that they keep applying for accreditation and then just keep on getting denied but that way they can continue to inform students that they are "in candidacy". Such a scam!! I have looked high and low for some reviews from graduating nurses from there and not one of them have posted as far as I can tell. I think I'm just going to apply to a real university for my BSN. And credits don't transfer from ITT....lovely.
    really just ask me. I graduated from Itt tech work in a hospital and am in a BSN program in bradenton at State college of Florida. all accredited . Itt tech as only been accredited in one place the rest are on the list for accreditation.
