Is Microbiology really that scary

Hi everyone,

I start school in four weeks and one of my first classes is microbiology. I have heard major horror stories about this one. How scared should I be?

My senior year in high school I had a micro class with the best teacher ever. I absolutely loved it. But when I got to nursing school, unfortunately I hated it. I had the most horrible teacher. The info was still interesting, though. Hopefully you'll have a great teacher and you'll learn a lot. Good luck! :)

Yes, I agree with having a good instructor helps.

I enjoyed micro. I wish I would have taken it a little more seriously though because every class from there on out built upon it. You will do fine. Enjoy Micro!

Just took my last two finas tonight. Lab and Lecture. We have an awesome teacher. She teaches many different micro classes. I have learned so much in this class, course never want to eat again! Our nursing micro class was almost exactly the same as the reg. micro class. They are always full and very hard to get into. But if I want to I now have all the skills to enter into a lab and work as a tech. So if I get tired of being and EMT and a MedicalAssistant while Im in school for rn, i have another job option. Very cool class!!!
