Inadequat feelings

Just graduated a few months ago. I am almost done with my orientation period. I am so busy during the day I can't get lunch until late in the day. I leave on time, and sometimes feel like I have helped the patient some. Most days I go home hashing out my day, and going over things I should have done different out things that I missed. I never truly have time to really contemplate the whole picture. Will this get better? This is floor nursing, cardiac tele/surgical.

I've always been told by instructors, fellow coworkers that are nurses, and family that are nurses that the first year of working as an RN, even the 2nd year are just plain out hectic and hell; however, it will eventually even out. What it comes down to is that it's reality once we start working as nurses, and that's always changing and different than what we learned in the textbook. You will and hopefully we will get used to it all.
