I just posted a similar message in a different thread, but does anyone have any fun or unusual places where they do their studying and it just seems to sink in better? This summer I've been going through notes and books, brushing up and trying to stay current. I found it was impossible to find a quiet spot inside the house with my family romping about, constant interruptions, etc. so I decided to go out on my deck and read there on a nice sunny day, work on my tan at the same time. I tell myself I'm soaking in knowledge and sun at the same time. I think it's working! Hope so!!

I'm a big fan of Barnes and Noble. I can get a highly caffeinated latte, find a cushy chair and pull out studying. The perk is that I can always grab a book off the shelf if I've forgotten a nursing diagnosis or drug name, etc. I have a family romping around also so sometimes it's easier on me (and my husband) if I leave when I'm needing to do hard core studying.

My favorite place to study are places I'm forced to be...like the train, in line, doctor's offices, etc. I'd rather study than wait around doing nothing.

Ditto Shyne, I like going to school extra-early and studying in my car :)

Barnes and Noble - what a GREAT idea!!! Right now we live in a 3br apt and with two teenagers at home, I struggle to find a quiet place to study as my bedroom is right next to the living room. I'm going to start going the book store.... Thanks!
