I have a BA and MA in non-nursing fields, how long would it take to get my AAS and become an RN?

you might be able to get through the pre-reqs for nursing school a little bit more quickly than someone starting from scratch since some of your credits may overlap with the pre-reqs for ADN programs (which vary from school to school, so check with schools that you might want to attend to see what they require)... but once you've finished the pre-reqs, the program itself is (almost always) 2 years of actual nursing classes.
Oh for you ADN it would take 2 years, but that also depends on how many of the gen ed classes you have done, as it is very hard to do both the nursing classess and gen eds at the same time. Do you have sciences done like Anatomy and physiology, chem, and microbiology?
