How do you get the cool avatars?

Please share! I copied and pasted my avatar picture from my yahoo instant messagner avatar but I want one of the oens I'm seeing here with the pictures, cats, etc. with them!

Any suggestions on where to go? Thanks!

Cherokee... you can download any pic you have saved on your pc... it has to be no larger that 100x100 pixels, and I think 15000 bytes.

You can save any web pic to your pc or even use the url adresses, then go to the avitar section and the "browse" box. .. upload !

If you need to resize, use any imaging software... most have a "resize" option.

You can check the size by clicking on the pic's "properties"... then resize it if you need to using imaging software.

A great, FREE download is Irfanview.... (dot com)... check it out... it does a whole lot more than resize.

Thanks, yeah that is how I got the one i have now. I downloaded it to my system and uploaded it to allnurses. I've seen a bunch of avatars that are faces, with different expressions, hair styles, some with cats, some with cups of coffee, etc. I'm wondering how to get one of those.

I really had alot of fun making my avatar from the site Gwyneth gave us. I will go back more too and will make as many pics as possible in diff sizes. Thanks again for the good idea.
