I was in the CVTU and my pt was such a sad case. He came in for chest pain almost 3 weeks ago, and it all went downhill from there. CABG x5, cardiogenic shock,ARDS and now DIC. It was awesome to take care of him because of the problems, but sad as well. My nurse I was with had never taken care of an ARDS or DIC pt, so it was a learning process for both of us, but I think we did an awesome job!
