Getting Married in School?

Nursing Students General Students

Hey guys so I was just wanting some opinions on getting married while in school, I have read a couple of threads and wanted a little more specificity with my situation. My gf and I have been together for a while now and we are both planning on going to nursing school, actually we have decided recently that we will attend together (regardless of marital status) so that we don't have to be separated for 2 years. I work full time so one question I have is whether or not that is going to have to change once we get to school. Another question I have is just the general atmosphere of being in school together while also being newly married. I hear a lot of people say that the biggest mistake you can make is to add the stress of school (any type of education) onto a new marriage but everyone is different. So just wanting some opinions from some people who maybe have been in or through this situation! Thanks! We are both young and don't want to have kids until after school and a couple of years of work (just more bg info)

We got married just after I was accepted to nursing school. Not a big one -- 50 people, planned it ourselves. No stress on new marriage, we lived together for 3 years anyway. He's my biggest support going through semesters. Helps that he is a medical professional though, very understanding.
