Can anyone help me? I use Potter and Perry Fundamentals of Nursing. I thought I had seen some pocket guide that came w/ this book that had all kinds of fundamental info in it. It was like a 7"x4" size book, maybe 1" thick. Now I can't remember where I saw it, but would love to have it for reference for funds clinicals. I searched B&N and also Amazon, but couldn't find it there either. Very popular funds book, hoping someone know what the heck I am talking about!
Thanks!

Critical care/ACLS version is a small flip book, you can actually wipe the pages with alcohol. It is a very impressive book. All ACLS algorthims,acid/base, rules of nines. PALS info included. You can get the book from emsguides.com

I know what you are talking about. You can go to majors.com. They have it there for like $25...I think. I would try to find one to look at first though. I thought it would be useful for me in clinicals, but it did not have a lot of the stuff from the regular book in it. I thought it would have a lot of the skills in it, but it did not. After I skimmed it I saw that it was pretty useless for clinical. I did get a pocket guide for my health assessment book, and I can't like without it. Let me know what you think if you decide to buy it.

Hi
We used the Lippencott Clinical Procedures Book. It is spiral bound and fits into the pocket of your lab jacket. I got mine from the bookstore at school, but i am sure you can find it somewhere.

When I was in school I always carried RNotes by Ehrin Meyers. I also kept it with me all the time when I started my first job- it has tons of info: adult and pediatric VS, meds, ACLS protocols, lab values, and clinical skills, with pages you can write on in pen and use alcohol to wipe it off. I think I paid $25 for mine but I just saw used copies on Amazon for $16.

SO you recommend the Health Assesment pocket guide??? what does it have???
It's by Saunders ISBN 0-7216-9774-7. I carry it will me all the time. It has assessments of all the body systems. Also what questions to ask patients when assessing. Aging effects, cultural effects, some anatomy pics, nursing diagnoses on all the systems. It has basically everyone the bigger book has, but is more geared to the clinical setting. Hope that helps :)
Will you use this for more than one semester???? I am into first and the book goes with this pocket guide.
