Final Semester - Not going well

This is my final semester of nursing school. This has been the most difficult few weeks I've had all through nursing school. We have more clinicals this semester, the preceptorship, and on top of it the material is so much harder. I do understand it's time to pull it all together and show what we have learned, but I'm really struggling. I bombed our first test and got a B on our 2nd so that helped balance it out a little, but I'm still technically failing right now. We have several more tests to go and I know logically that as long as I pass those I should be good, but it's freaking me out, I guess, to be so close to the end and have so much fear about failing. I guess I'm just wanting to see if anyone is in the same boat. I cannot come this far and fail - I know I just need to kick it into gear and get on it, but I worry about things when they are going well hahaha so you can imagine how much I'm worrying about this!

I guess I just needed to vent and get this out of my head so I can move on and study and stop worrying about the "what ifs" .... Wish me luck! And good luck to everyone else too!

LLL01,

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I'm in my second to last semster and bombed the first test of the semster (we only have two test for the course) due to some family reasons. And now I am freaking out because I need to do really good on the second test, if not I'm I get kicked out of the program. All that hard work. I just can't afford to fail but just like you I am SO SCARED. I've put in too much effort and time to make it this far.

I wish you all the best.

Just an update...I am completely done with everything except one final that I take next Tuesday. After all the blood, sweat, and tears this semester I only have to make a 55 on my final to pass. If I get a 74 or greater I'll have a B in the class. I'm so very thankful and so excited this semester is almost over. This has been the most exhausting semester ever! One of the tests we took this semester for quiz points was an NCLEX predictor test and according to that I have a 94.16% chance of passing on the first try and that was without having actually studied or taken Kaplan or Hurst (still undecided on which I'm doing) so that made me feel really good. Now bring on the stress of studying for and passing the NCLEX and getting a job!!!!

Yay! Glad things turned around and are going well! Good luck on your final! You got this! :)

Our entire class feels, or has felt, exactly the way you do. The testing average was in the 70s this semester and many were very worried about passing. I think we're all in good shape. I need a 21 on my final to pass and a 71 to keep my B. It'll all be a distant memory very soon.

Best of luck!!!
