Has anyone taken the HESI Admission Assessment (A2)? If so, was the study guide really helpful. I have the study guide and have been study but I'm not sure if there's more that I should be studying.

When I took it 2 years ago, it did help me pass.

I took the HESI A2 in Feb. 2007. My school using that instead of the NET. We had to take every section of it but the score was accumlative. I did have the study guide and studied for about 2 months before I took it because at our school you can take it only once a year and if I had failed I would have been waiting a whole year to get in again. I feel the study guide helped me and also since I had just taken Microbiology that was also helpful. Good luck to you.

Find out which sections your school tests on...mine did not test us on the science sections (Chem, AP, ect), you don't want to waste your time studying unnecessary info! I took the HESI in Nov 06 and had the study guide, which I did think was helpful.

For additional review, I went to www.testprepreview.com (go the the Nursing Exam Practice link on the left). These quizes are intended for NET and TEAS review, but scroll down and there are all sorts of quizes for every area that the HESI tests on as well, Grammer, Vocab, Reading Comp, ect. Make sure you review your ratio and proportions and household measure, there were a lot of those type questions on the HESI I had! Honestly though, I thought the test was rather easy. I ended up with a 96% and that plus my 3.85 GPA has me starting nursing school this August.

Don't stress, you'll do great!
