Hey Fun, I've got a question for you. I still need Micro and was going to take it this fall during my first semester. It appears you have just finished your second semester so let me ask you. Would it be best, in your opinion, to take during first or second semester? Thanks!!

I would have died if I had to take it during second semester, to but it bluntly...I would have gone nuts!

1st semester was definitely easier for me, in terms of overall material, pace of learning the material, etc. We just had SOOOOOOO much going on during second semester, but I'm hoping not having the pharm test will help everyone out. It's going to be integrated in the regular tests, so I hope 2nd semester will be easier for upcoming semesters.

People did take MicroSUX! during first, and they made it through...So, determination, and hard work can get you through it as well.

Overall, I recommend summer, but if that's not a choice, then 1st semester would probably be better.

Fun, you're hilarious. Summer was a choice but then I chose not to and dropped cause I'm taking HPRS and still working 50+ hours a week with travel. I'm quitting my job for school so I'll have time for "MicroSUX!"

haha...well good luck! I'll try to say hi if I get to stop by tomorrow, if not, I'm sure I'll see all y'all at some point. (I'll be at the school on Wednesdays.)

Has anyone tried to work at all during the first semester at El Centro? Just curious to know if it is possoble at all.

Ready -- I worked during the first semester (I just finished 1st semester). Some weeks I worked 20 hours, some weeks I worked 50. It did get pretty hectic and I hope I don't have to continue doing it.

I finish up with Micro next week! I finally have my two unknowns isolated -- now I'm just running tests trying to figure out what they are. I hope to know tomorrow!

As for my transfer ... I decided not to do it. I'm moving this weekend to a place near Love Field. Made sense just to stay put. I looked for places near Northlake, but couldn't find anything I could afford where I'd feel safe.

And, if anybody happens to have odd furniture they want to get rid of for cheap, send me a PM. My apartment will be fairly empty

Old Guy - it wasn't that they dropped. A couple did, but all the rest were an administrative drop due to test scores. They did have a rule that if you made 70 or below on 2 lecture tests, you were automatically out of the program. They are changing that with the fall semester. It is difficult to still make the 78 overall, unless all your other scores are really strong. That should make a big difference. I know of a couple we lost due to the clinical/skills lab part, but I don't think there were too many from that.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer break. What is everyone up to?
Jaxia, I hope you are all moved in and things are going good.
Yang, what are you doing this summer?

I know we still haven't gotten together, maybe we should do a pre-semester get together??? What do ya'll think?

Here are some new photos, because I'm a new 1st time proud momma

Hey Spill! He is a cutie. Jaxia is not completely moved in yet....she's in NM right now on vacation, but hopefully when she gets back. I have been losing weight (17 lbs so far this summer!!!!) I leave for Washington DC on Wednesday for a week, come back for 11 days, and head off on a cruise to Jamaica, Grand Caymen, and Cozumel for a week....but, after that I'm definitely up for a pre-semester get together. You guys decide when and where and I'll arrange my schedule around it. I'm off to run some errands. Talk to you all later!
