Does anyone use a scanner pen?

I was thinking about buying one of these to help me take notes and important facts out of textbooks. Does anyone use one and do you recommend it?

I had thought about buying one for the fact that our textbooks are so heavy and I just hate carrying them around. The only fall back is that it does not capture any pictures so you would still need to carry your books.

I have a HUGE luggage bag for my books so I do not mind carrying them around, hehe (this bag is tremendous) I am more interested in using the pen to put together a chapter review document for upcoming tests.
