Dermatology Specialization?

I'm super interested in becoming an NP focusing in dermatology--and from what I've read, most people get their MSN as an FNP and THEN specialize in dermatology. I would like to take a similar route, but with my MSN as a PNP (pediatric nurse practitioner) instead of an FNP. Would it still be possible for me to work with adults in dermatology, or would I have to work specifically in pediatrics?

If you want to treat adults in a dermatology clinic, you must obtain your FNP. If you train in only peds, you won't be qualified. FNP is the way to go for derm.
