Dating a fellow nursing school classmate

Hello all,

I will be entering nursing school's last semester in the fall. There is this girl in my class I am somehow interested in and I have all the reasons to believe she likes me back. I would have initiated things already if it weren't for the fear it could interfere with school. My class has nearly 40 students, and we're about 8 in each clinical group. If things turn sour, it can get pretty awkward as we all know and there isn't much room to avoid the other person.

Nonetheless, I haven't dated in a while, I'm in my early thirties already and so is this girl. School is extremely important, but at this point dating is also. I was thinking that delaying things until towards the end of this upcoming last semester would be a reasonable compromise. What do you think? Thank you all for your input!

There were four people who got together (two couples) during my nursing school tenure and who are actually still together. Everyone else who dated each other broke up, but it didn't make things weird. There was one student who had sex with many of the men, so of course, rumors spread with her. Just conduct yourself professional and you will be fine.

It's either it works or doesn't work. What do you have to lose? There's no harm in trying lol. I hope by this time you already have tried to ask her out. Never knew this would happen to me but I have a bf (he's an RN now) and I'm still in nursing school first sem. There's this guy who I clicked with and he's just super nice to me. I believe he does like me but knows I have a boyfriend and he respects that, which I'm very cool with and so is my bf. Just can't believe, out of the 30+ girls in my class, it would happen to me lol

When I was still working at a jewelry store, I sold a wedding set to a young couple who met in nursing school. ;-) :-) ❤️

I would tread carefully. Maybe it will work but it WILL be awkward if you break up. Been there, done that lol
