I have a question about my critical thinking home work. They gave us a sort of case study and we are supposed to make nursing diagnosis. In the paragraph the patient has a real low BP. What is the correct nursing diagnosis term for that? I'm stumped because we can only use certain terms. Can anyone help???? Would I just put low blood pressure??? Thanks Im confused:uhoh3:

Hypotension may be what you're looking for. A more technical way to say "low blood pressure". Hope this helps. I can't think of a specific nursing diagnosis that states the same thing.

Hypotension related to: shock, trauma, blood loss, systemic infection or whatever is wrong with your patient as evidenced by a current blood pressure of 70/40 or whatever your patient's numbers are. Does that help?
Thanks that helps alot because the patient did lose alot of blood..Thanks ALOT!!!!!!:)
