CPCC Nursing School Chances

Hey! So I'm super nervous to apply for the nursing program at CPCC and I'm just wondering what kind of grades and TEAS scores that others have gotten and been accepted. I feel semi-confident because I currently have a 4.0 and almost all my pre-req done, but my only hesitation comes from the TEAS test. I've already taken it twice and got a 74 both times. The program says you need a 75 to get in, but I wonder if they would even consider my score. Also, Im not sure how they come up with the "Adjusted Individual Total Score', because I assumed it was averaging my scores which were

Reading - 85.7

Math - 90

Science - 54.2 (completely bombed, I know :()

English - 73.3

When I averaged those numbers out I got 75.8, which would be enough for the program. I might just have to take it again, but ahhh it's all confusing and stressful. haha If anyone has any tips or anything helpful - that would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Sarah!

I am not sure how API gets your overall score, but I vaguely remember something about the number of questions right dived by the number of questions.

If you got a 74, I would try. Also, if you look under your MyCollege account, there is a Test Summary, and it will let you know if the testing center accepted it or not (assuming you took it at CPCC).

There is always time to try once more, as the new application period doesn't open until 10/1!

Good Luck!
