Class President Anyone?

So... I had taken the day off from school today to take care of some personal issues that I had to get out of the way. One of my classmates sent me a text message telling me that I had just been voted as class president... i thought it was funny and ironic that the class prez was playin hooky on election day...
but anyways... is there anyone else out there who holds a leadership position in their school/class... i would like to share ideas about what i could do for my class... i think i want to put up a website with study aids... but i feel like it may not be my position to do that...
i dont kno... anyone out there?

Congratulations! :) Our elections won't be held until May or June, I think, but I have actually considered whether I would want to serve in that capacity. In our school, the class president is in charge of raising funds for graduation, overseeing charity fundraisers and to attend student/teacher meetings. I'm not sure what all goes on in the meetings. My suggestion would be to put all your ideas down onto paper and then prioritize! Oh, and DELEGATE! People will come up to you with all sorts of wonderful ideas and will want YOU to work on. If something is important to someone else, then they can do the work . :) The website and study aids might sound like a good idea, too, but you are still a nursing student and if your school has specific duties already in place for you to accomplish as president, then they may have to take a backseat.
