Bombed lab final...practical....need encouragement

I absolutely bombed my practical lab final and I am very discouraged. I got male foley and was very flustered from the start. I had been concentrating on female foley because that was what we did in class. I made so many mistakes. It started when I sprayed betadine all over the place. Then I dropped one of the cotton balls. The manaquins member was curved under so it was hard to manipulate. The foley had a blue sleeve on it so I took it out of the sleeve to test the balloon. In class practice, the foley was in a clear bag so I left it in the bag to test it. The teacher said I should have left the bag on. So many mistakes....I could go on. I really know my stuff but I just performed terribly. It is my own fault for getting so flustered. My mind just went blank. I am so worried. I need a 20 out of 30 to pass lab. You need to pass lab to pass nursing 2. I was getting an A until now. It would really suck to not pass just because of one bad experience. I am having a hard time recovering from this. I really need to study for the last test and final but can't concentrate. If I didn't pass lab, why bother? I am sitting here crying and missing my daughters track meet because I can't get over this. Please...I really need some words of wisdom and some encouragement. Colleen

It will be okay. I'm so sorry you are upset, but you can't let it ruin the other parts of your life. It was one time, it takes practice. Just push on, I know, easier said them done but that is what you have to do. When I get nervous and flustered I take several deep breaths and go through each step in my head as i'm doing it. People tend to go fast to get it over with but just slow down and relax. Spend time with your family and don't think about it anymore tonight. Big hugs
