best med-surg textbook?

hi, i'm not exactly new here but i've not really posted or joined discussions yet. anyway, i have a question--what's the best med-surg text to use, and why? i've not bought one for myself bec here in the philippines, nursing books are always out of stock and i don't want to grab just any med-surg that's avail. sometimes i buy thru amazon. hope to hear from someone! :)

I have Medical Surgical Nursing by Lewis. Don't buy it!!! It's awful. I really wish our school didn't require it. I use supplemental texts because after reading in Lewis, you are more confused than when you started.

Oh no! That's the one our school has/requires. Maybe I'll just hang onto my Smeltzer/Bare to use as a supplement, then.

for those with iggys... did u really get to read through it? i have some books here (fund of nursing, etc) that i hardly read! augh.
