Baby and BSN

Hi all,

new to the site, and about to begin a BSN program. I am concerned about time management, and looking for any tips in order to maximize the time I can spend with my sweet sweet one year old baby girl while still reaching my goals for the program. Are study groups the way to go, or will I be spinning my wheels a lot? what were the best time-friendly strategies that worked for people who've been through this? Are there any other members who've been in this position?

I'm in the same boat, but I have a 9 month old baby instead.

Its intimidating! I thought it wouldn't be so hard, but I am beginning to really worry about the whole work-life balance thing!

Same here but one thing for sure we are going down the right path as far finishing nursing school while they're young (they won't remember a thing) so I don't feel guilty as much!

I've found some good free a and p review apps that I can page through on my tablet while my daughter is napping, I think I can start there. Have you started doing review?

I haven't started reviewing, :nailbiting:

I started my program when my daughter was 6 months. It is so much better, IMO, to do it while they're little because they won't remember you being gone. I have an amazing support system that has been vital to my success. As far as balancing everything, no one here can really tell you how. You have to figure that out because you know what's going on in your life and what your top priorities are. I, personally, watch a lot of YouTube videos to help study; study after my daughter is in bed; and have a babysitter come once a week for a couple hours so that I can study. My daughter is now 17 months and I'm going into my 3rd semester of 4. Once you find your groove, it'll be a lot more doable. Good luck!

This reassure me and helps me. Thank you í ½í¸Š
