Anyone used Evolve Bundle?

Along the lines of of a few other posts concerning textbooks, do any of your nursing schools used a bundle of textbooks called "Evolve"? It will run around $900. I normally buy my books online and save a ton, however my nursing program is really pushing us toward buying this consolidated package of all first year nursing books from the bookstore. They say that it comes with a code that unifies all the books for use with your computer, allowing you to cut/paste, search over multiple books etc. This is different than the code that comes with your ordinary textbooks. Does anyone have any knowledge of this product and was it useful, or should I just purchase my books individually from other sources? I will have a complete book list at orientation. I used the evolve bundle package last year in Nursing 1. It really was pretty great I think. There is a bunch of stuff that you can do to study for tests and practice clinical skills right on your computer at home. I thought it worked out well. Last year our bundle did not have that option to have a code unifying all of the books, but there was a lot of online stuff. The web-site we used was Welcome to Evolve! , maybe check that out see what you think. For next year we are going with a bundle-set of books that seems awfully comparative to what you are describing. I think it sounds great though, being able to look up exactly what info you need from your text through the computer, rather than flipping through the pages of 7 books, having them all on one program or however it will be work will be nice.

Thanks for the info! I think it sounds great, too. Some students in the year ahead of me didn't use the online component and thought the whole bundle was a rip-off. I am almost sure I am going to purchase it as the bundle. I think I would use the features.

We use Evolve at my school. I bought the bundle because of the book codes for the website and we use SimMan on our Evolve accounts too. I thought the website was very helpful because it has additional Nclex questions for each chapter, it also highlights the key points of each chapter, content updates for your books and tons of other resources. This was extremely helpful when utilized because all our tests are electronic and the test bank comes from Lewis which is one of my Evolve books. I highly recommend it.
