Anyone else wondering how you'll get done?

My last week of classes is (I think) May 15th. I can't believe how much we still have left to cover on our syllabus for my A & P II class. We just wrapped up Lymphatic & the 2nd half of Cardiovascular today with our test being on the 21st of this month! We still have Urinary, Respiratory, Reproductive, and Endocrine to cover as well as take our final. It just seems like a lot. We didn't finish everything in last mod so it carried over to this one. I feel like we're not going to get done. I know we will not be tested over anything that we didn't cover but we still need to KNOW this stuff. And we can all use the opportunities for test scores to help our grades. I guess I am just feeling the time crunch realizing that this time next month classes will be wrapping up! Crazy.

Sigh. I had this happen too, although my instructors were mean and just told us to read the endocrine and reproductive chapters on our own and they'd be on the final. Needless to say, they were forced to curve the final because of the outcry.

The good(ish) thing about it is that most of your nursing textbooks when you get them will review what you need to know about the systems. I'd also recommend keeping your books to use as reference later.

This is actually one of my pet peeves - I'm not an instructor, but I really don't see how it can be that difficult to stick to the syllabus :banghead:

I TOTALLY understand... We have 21 days left in the semester. I am taking Micro and we still have FOUR tests left. :banghead:Two lab to lecture, it is really ridiculous. I have a good teacher as far as the material goes but the syllabus has been completely thrown out the window. It makes very hard to properly study and knowing that I have to have a B to keep my acceptance in the nursing program does not help at all.

So, keep your head up and know that you are not alone. WE CAN DO IT!!

Well this will certainly get you ready for nursing school. We cover multitude of body systems in a 6 day time frame, we have a test every week and are expected to know it all inside and out. This week we are doing all of Respiratory and Neurological, we will be tested in 6 days.

I'm not worried about taking the tests and so forth. I just don't think that my instructor has the capacity to cover the massive amount of material still left on the syllabus before the end of the semester. I am just hoping that we'll learn what we need to without much extra fluff. Sometimes we get notes over things and I KNOW they will never appear on the test and I can't figure out why we're covering it because a lot of times it is stuff that, by this level of classes, everyone should already know....
