Congratulations!! Your description of how you are feeling pretty much sums up the way I felt when I received my letter. I've settled down now, but I'm still excited/nervous. I'm looking forward to the semester starting in September. As far as preparing for the first semester...I have a long list of things to do before August that I received from my school last Friday. I'll be starting on those this week.
Congrats, again!
Thank you very much! I am starting to get a grip on the reality of it... scared would probably be my best adjective right now!
However I did just find out that I DO NOT have to complete my Organic Chemistry class this summer which was a prereq at another school I applied too! YEAH! At least I will have a summer now! (my last one for a few years!)
Good Luck to you too, stay in touch on the forum, they are very helpful!

yeah to all of us newly accepted students. I am curious "Bath" to what your list says for you to do this summer. The list I received from my school was short and only listed a few things like physical, immunity levels, etc. I am wandering what your list, or anyone else's might say.
Hi Michiganstudent... where are you located in MI? I was borned and raised in Ferndale, and went to Michigan State for a couple years.. my husband graduated from there in 2000... I miss the lakes big time!
Hello schoolmack. I live in harrison township. By metro beach. I live off jefferson, so I get to see the lake everyday!! Love It. I dont think I will ever move. Where are you at now?

I recieved my letter last Wednesday. I am more ready than I have ever been, even though those feeling will change probably within the next 5 or 10 minutes. :)
I live in Atlanta now... I lived in Dallas for about 6 years and moved here about 2 years ago... It is hot hot hot!!! Guess that is why they call it Hotlanta! hee hee...
My grandparents had a house on the St. Clair River for my whole childhood... I loved it.. I grew up on those lakes!
I am jealous... Glad to hear someone has no desire to leave the Detroit area! I was so happy when the Red Wings won last week!
I looked over it and it isn't all THAT long...stuff like a criminal background check, immunizations, registration, alcohol and drug screening, ordering uniforms and equipments, ATI and NCLEX prep materials order, purchase textbooks, as well as getting an ID card and reading the student handbook, and attending two student orientation meetings. I also must make sure I have all the necessary insurance for health and auto and also get CPR certification (that one is already done).
Ok. That is about the same. i guess i am just looking for something concrete to study this summer. too excited. I need to cool my jets.
OK. My quick reply doesnt want to work so this goes out to "bath" and "schoolmack". It looks like the same stuff for us to do this summer. I guess I was just looking for some concrete study material for the summer. We had 1000 applicants and only 30 start in august so I am pretty stoked.
mack- Detroit rocks. My cousin moved to Houston last year. He went down in February and when he got to his first apartment, in the ghetto per him, he was so excited for the 70 degree weather that he stripped down and jumped into the pool and started swimming laps. Everyone stared at this crazy white boy swimming laps in the middle of winter. They just couldn't believe it and loved him right then and there. He just loves it down there now. I am sure that was quite an adjustment for you but I am glad that you are doing well. Keep in touch.
