Re: Any current Johns Hopkins BSNs around?
I definitely think you should read the current student blogs; there are three so far and I think they are pretty telling of what to expect. The program so far has been really amazing. Most professors are absolutely committed to your success. The atmosphere is both competitive and supportive. Any faculty member would literally bend over backwards to help you out with anything. If it means you just need to talk to them for support or if you need a tutor that they would suggest, they are there for you 100%. And they make it clear the first week that you are there first and foremost to be a NURSE! So grades, yah, they matter, but if you just focus on that, you'll drive yourself and those around you, crazy! As far as other students being competitive, it depends on what people you surround yourself with. It is Hopkins, so you're going to have that type of personality, but the staff does not support an atmosphere of competition, and many many students are chill and willing to do study groups, etc. Hope that answers some questions. I could go on for a long time as to why I think Hopkins is an amazing school, but I'll spare you. It's great, trust me
