Advice on Applied Physiology Course

Specializes in Critical Care / Psychiatry.

I have the option of taking Applied Physiology along with my second semester nursing courses next semester. Has anyone taken this course or one similar to it? Pre-reqs are A&P I & A&P II. Course description says it provides an understanding of the physiology of disease based on a detailed knowledge of normal physiology and covers disorders of the cardiovascular, digestive, nervous, pulmonary, immune and renal systems. It's only 2 credits.

I need this course eventually for my BSN. I just don't want to get in over my head and I'm not sure if Applied Physiology is super tough or if it's feasible.

Any thoughts and comments are welcome!

Gosh, I really don't know. It sounds hard, but only 2 credits?

Specializes in Critical Care / Psychiatry.

This class could also be called Pathophysiology.

Has anyone taken it?

I'm really torn!
