Would you look at your friend's bottom if they asked you to?

Let me explain the situation. My friend had been poorly over the weekend. I think it was something that they ate on friday night. So I'm thinking food poisoning or gastroenteritis. Bless him. He was having diarrhoea all weekend, along with the sweats so he was quite unwell. Have you got the picture. Anyway, he comes out of the bathroom saying that there is something wrong down below. I couldn't stop laughing which is very unprofessional of me but I am at home and he is a friend. Anyway I stated that "there was no way I was going to look at his bottom". But then when I put my nursing hat on and said that I would but by then he was too embarassed. I did ask him to describe it to me and it did sound like a prolapse. Not really my speciality. Anyway I advised him to go and see his GP or go to the walk in centre. My question is would you look at your friends bottom or any other part of their private parts if asked? :imbar

I'm so used to naked people at this point, that I don't think any butt would phase me. Having seen small and large, every end of the color spectrum, etc, it wouldn't bother me. I really wouldn't care if everyone were naked. Now feet on the other hand? Noooooo way! I am creeped out by any feet that are not pristine and pedicured. I don't know what's wrong with me, only that I think nearly all feet are gross. I think it was watching at a foot care clinic during nursing school that helped cement this for me many years ago. Some of those nails needed a rasp or a file like a farrier would use for a horse *cries at the memory*

I am happy to say that I did have a friend look at my bottom while camping as I inadvertantly sat on a stinging nettle. MY BUTT WAS NUMB and I needed someone to remove it. Luckily the friend was also my husband:yeah:

and he had a first aide kit......GOTTCHA.

I would be more uncomfortable with the asking than actually looking so I figure if they've got the courage to ask, I can muster up the courage to look.

No. This would be very uncomfortable for me.

Just remember some of those bottoms might actually be cute.

I think it was prmenrs who said it best in regard to being a NICU nurse:

"I don't take care of anyone over 15 pounds unless we're related."

Except that sometimes I'm tempted to lose the "unless" and substitute "especially if."
