I am a canadian nurse thinking of moving to N.C to work at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. If anyone has information regarding the hospital (wages, staff etc).

I would also like some info regarding the town of Greenville(population, things to do etc). If anyone has any info that would be great. Thinking of moving in March 2001!!!

Thank you for all the info. The hosptial sounds wonderful, town sounds great, but the weather (I don't know). Mind you I currently live in the snow belt of Ontario Canada.

I guess weather would be quite a change. Besides the hurricane factor, we get one, two snows here a year (if we're lucky). Winters are generally mild, with many "shirt-sleave" days all the way through December. Summers can be HOT and sticky--especially in July!

Also, recommend CARDIAC (NOT med-surg or surgical floors or units). Cardiac is the cream of the crop for the hospital. Nurses are really treated well in these units. CIU has 4-pts to a pod, CICU 2 pts (as all the step downs and intensive care units).
