No, when a CNA applies to work for me, if their license is out of state, I have to apply to have it transferred. They can work for up to 4 months while waiting for it the be transferred. However, there are a small number of states that we do not accept licenses from. So check before you move.

When you have your CNA certification, it is through your state's Board of Nursing. You go through them for renewals etc. If you're moving, you need to check w/ the state you're moving into in order to find out what the transfer process is.
