Stepping down from a RN Supervisor at LTC to floor RN

Nurses General Nursing

Published

I been a nurse since 2012 and am learning that I'm more interested in learning patient care than administration. I am currently working on by BSN. My first job was administrative at the prenatal center and although I enjoyed it it was not what I want, so I after 10 months I transferred to RN supervisor at LTC. I love all I'm learning but feel that I should take a step down and grow my assessment skills before I continue. I've been doing it for 2 1/2 months. I have an opportunity to become a floor nurse at another facility and I will take it. I feel torn because the facility I work for is very nice but I rather move on to another facility and start over. This career is so nerve wrecking. Am I making the right decision?
