Refresher Course

Nurses General Nursing

Hi all!

I'm always reading things to people that I know, and I really like this site! My friend's mom is taking her refresher nursing course, and she asked me to put out a post asking people to respond...with whatever you want! Tips, advice, etc.

And if you live in Alberta, Canada, we would really appreciate your response! Of course, any response would be appreciated....

Waiting to hear from you!

Thanks,

Hi Amanda,

What is a refresher nursing course? Where is it offered, how long does it take?

Maybe I should clarify myself...I just assume that a refresher course it what it's called everywhere. A refresher course is a course that people take when they have let their nursing liscence go "stale", which in Alberta is 5 years. My mom's friend hasn't been nursing for some years though. She's taking it through correspondence from Grant MacEwan in Edmonton Alberta. It takes 11-13 months or so. There are a bunch of modules that you have to take, and it reviews everything....
