Nurse sexually assaults patient

Nurses General Nursing

I got an e-mail link to this story from a friend in Florida and I was wondering what this nurse was thinking when he did this. The article says he inappropriately "touched" and "put his mouth on" the patient and he has been arrested for sexual battery. The terrifying thing for the patient is that he was restrained and could neither defend himself nor call for help during the attack. He admitted touching the patient but claims he put his mouth on the patient by "accident". I'm still trying to figure that one out!

If this nurse felt such a strong sexual urge towards the patient why didn't he find some excuse to get himself off the case? He's only been a nurse since 2003, and in all probability, with a sexual offense (especially on a patient) on his record he's gonna lose his nursing license.

Is there something you wanted to discuss about this? Or just to bring it to everyone's attention?
