If your husband is already in Japan you've probably been separated already. Difficult decision I know. Some options:
1. Go ahead, go over to Japan (expensive country but they like Americans for the most part) unless your hubby is stationed on Okinawa. (Sailors have a bad rap)
2. Let him cont on an unaccompanied tour and you stay in the states and work.
3. Go and visit first and see what you can find and then decide - most expensive option.
I say all this with 36 years experience as a military wife and former active duty Navy myself.

Hi!
I am in need of advise. I just graduated with my BSN and passed the NCLEX-RN. My husband is active duty stationed in Japan. I am planning to move to Japan but I'm afraid that when I come back in 2 years, I won't be able to find a job without experience. It's close to impossible to get a job on base. The most I can do is volunteer with Red Cross. Im wondering if I'm pretty much throwing my career away if I move to Japan for a year or even two?
thanks!
