Need advice on HCG injections...

An infertility organazation has asked me to help one of it's members overseas in my countrey by giving the HCG hormone injection for on of their clients. I am an American nurse currently on vacation. I was told that this is the woman's first round of treatment and that the dose is 10,000 units - this seemed a little steep to me - so I checked online and found out that most such treatments go at 5,000 units at a time. Now this is the woman's first time on the treatment and therfore I see no possible reason as to why this dose is so high? Secondly, Can any one tell me which IM landmark is preferable to inject in?
