Military spouse and new grad contract

Hi y'all, my question today pertains to a new grad RN residency program that I may start this summer. However, my husband is in the military and I am having some concerns. We are to be stationed in Jacksonville, Fl for four years and the residency program states that to be eligible you must sign a 2 year contract upon completion. I know that we'll be stationed here long enough that I would be able to fulfill that commitment. BUT, my husband is applying for an officer program in which if he makes it (big if) he'll have to leave for college in another state for two years starting next year. I know that being military can give leeway in situations in breaking leases and such, but what about breaking an employment contract? I really want this program, but I don't want to be separated from my husband for possibly two years because of it. Any insight would be so appreciated.

I know this is an old post, but did you ever find out about the military leeway for breaking contracts? I am in this same boat right now and am trying to decide if I should even apply!

Any information on this? I’m in this same boat RN
