Hi All:

I need help in finding insurance in Orlando, Florida. I am going into home health care and I feel I should get some insurance. Thanks for your help!

Do you read any of the journals? There are several companies that have ads in them for ( I assume that's what you mean). Mine is about $75 a year. If you have homeowners insurance you can also purchase an "umbrella policy" that will cover any loss above and beyond what your malpractice ins. covers.

Sunyatta--I am self employed in the Home Health Care field and maintain my with NSO (Nurses Service Organization). My premiums are $89.00 per year and I also keep coverage on our staff through this organization. I have been with them for the past eight years. My premiums are very reasonable and the coverage is most adequate. God forbid I will ever have to utilize their services.

It's my opinion that ANY nurse working ANYWHERE needs to have professional liability insurance...plus, I feel more comfortable having this service through an agency that specializes in nursing liability.
