Is getting a job as hard as getting an internship?

I'm going to school at a university well-known for nursing, but I've had a terrible time getting an internship. I was talking to a man the other night who told me hospitals across the country see that school on your application and you're "good to go." So...is it just easier to get a job than it is to get an internship? Or what?!

Not sure what school you're alluding to but in general, yes, its been my experience that nursing internships are hard to come by. I think it's because of the general lack of nursing internships that make for many applicants for one spot. Geographic location would also play a role, as does type of internship (psych, critical care, etc.).

That guy, though, I'm guessing he was a school advisor? He may have been exaggerating the school's reputation a tad.

I know the school has a good reputation but yeah I just hope he's not over exaggerating my ability to get a job. Your response is reassuring, thanks í ½í¸Š
