Insurance For Flu Shot Clinics

Hey all,

I am wondering if anyone has ever worked any independent flu shot clinics and if so, did you have to purchase some type of insurance? I don't think it's called "" because I think that may be just for physicians. But something like it? I have a full time job at a clinic and am covered under their insurance. But if I worked one of these flu clinics, I imagine I would need some coverage of my own, correct? Thanks!

If you are an employee of the flu shot clinic, the corporate entity should have liability coverage that covers you as an employee. If you are working for the flu shot clinic as an independent contractor, then you would be advised to have your own insurance, since your current insurance at the ambulatory clinic would not cover you working for the flu shot clinic.
