How To Improve Education for Nurses Caring for Older Adults

Nurses working in community health settings are challenged daily to provide care and coordinate the multifaceted aspects of treatment of patients with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. For older adults who also may have multiple chronic illnesses and psychosocial concerns,your work in symptom management; referring to other healthcare providers/agencies, patient/family education and counseling can be especially complex.

You are being asked to participate in this research study because you are a nurse working in a community health or primary care setting.

The purpose of this research study is to describe nurses' knowledge of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders among nurses working with older adults in the community. If you agree to participate, we will ask you to complete an online survey Alzheimer's Disease Knowledge among Nurses in Community Health Settings” that takes about 10 minutes to complete. There are no risks related to taking this survey. All information collected is anonymous since we are not collecting any personally identifiable information. Your participation in this research is voluntary.
