Hello. On October 11, I am helping three other people with a booth about breast cancer awarness.:typing Can anyone give me some great tips about some really effective tools to bring with me, and where can I find them? I thought about maybe doing a photo Album of what breast cancer looks like ,from the outside of course. Can anyone give me some web sites to check out? thanks Rhonda:nurse:

I would see if you could get the breast models that have "lumps" in them so people stopping by can see if they can find the lumps... I always found that interesting, and it certainly attracts attention!

As for increasing prevention, I know a number of different organizations including Susan G. Komen make the hang tags that hang in the shower that go through the steps of a monthly SBE - it serves as a good reminder, as you see the thing hanging every time you're in the shower.

Is this a health fair type thing or is it all concentrated on breast cancer? Definitely use the color pink to your advantage - especially in October, it attracts attention as (wonderfully, through a lot of work) it is now directly associated with breast cancer awareness in many people's minds.

Good luck - let us know how it goes!

You can include something about men who get breast cancer, too, though in much smaller numbers than women. One beef I have about the pink ribbon is that the general public too often is unaware that breast cancer happens to men, too.
