a bunch of us nurses from where i used to work went away for a night of partying. A dr. we work with came. We are all from the ICU days and nights. He sat down and apologized to all the night nurses saying "If I was an A-hole to you, I'm sorry. Feel free to get it all out now. i have been mean on the phone to nights and have no reason to be" He then told us if it wasn't for the nurses in the ICU all the patients would be dead.

No, I don't think of him as a hero. I think it was nice he could say he is wrong, and then show appreciation. Whenever someone has made a good call on his patients he has been thankful.

Geez, I thought it would be nice to hear some people can own up to their mistakes.
